Communications doesn't just reflect where you are.
It defines where
you're going.

For the companies ready to stand out and stay ahead.

Each stage of growth

demands a different approach.

Your story touches everything, from fundraising and hiring to sales, partnerships, and culture. The best companies don’t leave that to chance. They treat communications as a competitive advantage and constantly evolve as they grow.

Define

Great companies don’t happen by accident. Neither do great brands.

From identity and positioning to messaging and narrative, this is about building the foundation for everything that comes next.

Launch

Visibility is built intentionally.

From funding and new products to partnerships, company milestones, and thought leadership, this is about building momentum when and where it matters most.

Scale

The challenge isn’t doing more. It’s knowing what matters most.

From roadmap development and prioritization to agency management and tactical support, this is about connecting strategy to execution and turning communications into a driver of growth.

Evolve

What got you here won’t take you where you’re going.

From evolving narratives to new products, markets, and priorities, this is about making sure the market always understands the company you’re becoming.

What most companies learn too late.

The market is often responding to an outdated version of what you've built.

Founders often carry the company narrative in their heads.

Tactics can amplify a narrative. They can't create one.

Communications debt compounds just like technical debt.

Agencies are a force multiplier, not a substitute for strategy.

Emily supported us from the beginning, helping define our voice and identity, sharpen our story, and bring Claimable to market in a way that felt distinctly us. That same adaptability showed up as our business evolved.

When we expanded from a direct-to-consumer product into B2B partnerships with pharma manufacturers and health systems, Emily helped us build a messaging platform that could speak to multiple audiences and products without losing the thread of who we are. Her deep understanding of our business meant she could flex across owned and earned channels, marketing, and sales as a true extension of the team.

If you’re a founder who needs a partner who can grow and think alongside your business, not just publicize it, Emily is that person.

Operator mindset

Communications decisions don't happen in a vacuum. They're shaped by product roadmaps, hiring plans, fundraising, partnerships, customer feedback, and business priorities. The strongest communications strategies don't just support the business, they help shape it.

Strategy and execution

Defining the strategy is only half the job. Making it operational is the other. With nearly 20 years of experience building and leading communications functions, I help companies do both.

Hands-on Partnership

I've worked with founders as an advisor, an operator, and everything in between. I've seen enough companies grow to recognize the patterns, but I'm still close enough to the work to help teams navigate them in real time.

Meet Emily

The most important communications decisions are usually business decisions first — questions of positioning, priorities, growth, leadership, and what a company wants to become.

I’ve spent nearly two decades helping companies navigate those moments.

My experience spans agency and in-house roles, from established brands like NBC, Warner Bros., and Shutterfly to high-growth companies including Blue Apron, Truepill, Le Tote, Midstream, and Claimable. Along the way, I’ve built communications functions from the ground up, led teams through periods of rapid scale, managed agencies, and partnered with founders and executives as they navigated growth, expansion, and transformation.

That’s what allows me to meet companies where they are and help chart what’s next.

I'd love to hear what you're building.
